Two Days, Two Unique Business Angel Ecosystems: Thanks to the ESIL programme, funded by the European Commission, you will be visiting two innovation and investing powerhouses: Eindhoven and the Ruhr.
The German Study Visit starts Thursday, September 12th, 7:30pm, with a pan-European Connecting Dinner at the UNESCO World Heritage Site Zeche Zollverein in Essen and ends Friday, 13th of September, 06:00pm, with a “High-level Matching “Greentech & impact” in the Impact Factory Duisburg. Crucially, you will learn how the area has transitioned from a coal mining hub to a digital & logistic & green hotspot – and what role business angels continue to play in this effort. Thursday, September 12th, 10:00am to 06:30pm the delegation is visiting Eindhoven, Netherlands. Eindhoven is a real success story of how the triple helix can work together to create the “Smartest square KM of the World”. Business Angels Netwerk Nederland gives you the opportunity to go to High Tech Campus and HealthWorks, a breakthrough MedTech accelerator powered by Phillips. You will dive into the Dutch Business Angel market, learning best practices in business angel syndication and cross border cooperation.
BAND invites you coming to the Ruhr, one of the largest metropolises in Europe, home to more than five million people, a region with a strong industrial core on the way to Germany’s next start-up hotspot.
Naturally, there will be plenty of opportunity to network with Business Angels from the regions and from all over Europe.

Important to know: The study visit tour bus starts in Eindhoven, will take you from there cross border to the Ruhr region. After finishing the tour the bus will take you from the Impact Factory Duisburg (last tour stop) to Düsseldorf Airport and from there to Eindhoven Airport.
